Growpods enable you to grow leafy vegetables and herbs anywhere without the use of soil. Using static hydroponics, there is no need for pumps and electricity. Growpods consist of a 36-plant 1.1m x 1.1m x 0.15 m ABS plastic container which holds the nutrient solution and provides a platform for plant growth. They can be placed anywhere with sufficient sunlight, away from the rain. The system does not need topping up with water for the first 10 to 12 weeks of plant growth. Nutrient top-ups with only 30 litres per week are then required for longer-life plants like spinach. Plants can grow up to 25% faster than in traditional farming methods due a constant access to water and nutrients.
